Health
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health) is responsible for public health for the city, while the New York State Department of Health (DOH) is responsible for the same for the state. The NYC Mayor's Office of Community Mental Health, created by local law in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, is dedicated to addressing the mental health of New Yorkers.
