AP Daybook

The AP Daybook is a list of major events and top stories compiled by the Associated Press and released daily, early in the morning. There are Daybooks for each U.S. state, New York City, and Washington, DC. It is a subscription resource and available at Columbia through the AP Newsroom database.

To find the AP New York City Daybook:

  1. Log in the AP Newsroom database
  2. In the top search bar, search for nyc daybook and select the "Text" option
  3. The results should appear in reverse chronological order, with the most recent Daybook at the top, but you can also limit the results using the Date filter on the right

To find another AP Daybook, complete the same steps as above but instead search for that state or place, such as new york daybook (for the Upstate New York Daybook), dc daybook (for the Mid Atlantic Daybook covering Washington, DC), or california daybook.

AP Newsroom also includes the daily NYC Court Calendar, a list of high-profile or noteworthy court cases taking place in the five boroughs. To find the NYC Court Calendar, repeat the steps above but search instead for: nyc court calendar.
