All-Access Digital Subscription to The Atlantic

The Atlantic, founded as a monthly magazine in 1857, covers news, politics, culture, technology, health, and more. Current Columbia University students, faculty, and staff have full access to TheAtlantic.com through the Columbia University Libraries.

Log In

To log in to Columbia’s institutional subscription to TheAtlantic.com: 

  1. Choose any of the following options:
  2. When prompted, enter your UNI and password and complete the Duo prompt
  3. On your first visit, the “Tell us about yourself” and newsletter signup prompts are optional; either complete or choose “Skip”

No account sign up is required. Once signed in, you will remain logged in on that device until you sign out or until your browser cache is cleared. If you are logged out, simply follow one of the links above to sign in again.

What does this subscription include?

All content on TheAtlantic.com, including online-only articles and the Print Edition Archive from 1857-today.

Who has access?

All current Columbia University students, faculty, and staff. Access is available on-campus and off-campus.

Can I use The Atlantic mobile app?

Yes, mobile app access is available. Follow these steps:

  1. Download the app for iOS or Android
  2. Tap the Settings button at the top-right of the Today screen
  3. Select “Sign In” and scroll down to “Sign in through your institution”
  4. Search for Columbia University and, when prompted, enter your UNI and password and complete the Duo prompt
