Library Access & Borrowing for Alumni

Columbia alumni enjoy free off-campus access to a wide range of databases and journals, plus lifetime in-person use of library facilities. Graduates of Columbia University may apply for a University Alumni Identification Card that enables lifetime use of library facilities. Borrowing privileges can be purchased for $30 per month. Application can be made in person to the Library Information Office, with a valid government-issued photo ID.  Alumni ID cards are valid for 10 years. 

In-person use of library facilities by alumni with the Alumni ID card is permitted between 8 a.m. and midnight for libraries open during that time period. Please review library hours before visiting.
